As part of this month's meetup, we went to see the old slaughterhouse in Toronto. I somehow neglected to take a photo of the old sign on the front, as it was all that identified the building anymore. It is half demolished and stripped down, hard to recognize from previous visits. Here are a few of my favourite shots.

Great shots! There is a common adage in abandonment exploring that says, "It's always a raccoon!". That is most definitely not a raccoon skull. The eye socket and zygomatic arch (that skinny bone beside the eye socket) are 100% indicative for skunk.

Love the first shot, simple, clean, nice light. The double symmetry is very cool

I totally assumed it was a raccoon and didn't think further, but I appreciate the correction! A friend of mine is a biologist and happily IDs anything I get on camera for me, except I didn't run this by him.

Love to see that some people are still attending the monthly meetups! It's been a long time since I've been to one but maybe I'll have to plan for it one of these days, if I know there's something happening! Great photos from a cool spot 👌

We take advantage of what we can even if there is not much to see on the spot from what I see. Thank you for the photos.
