I decided to start off 2023 with an early morning visit to an abandoned school I had marked before but never visited. Unfortunately, I arrived to find that the school had been demolished with no trace that it had ever been there. I used back roads to make the ninetyish-minute drive home and happened upon a rickety-looking wood farmhouse. Once I turned around and parked, I found that the house was a little more than just rickety. The southeast corner was collapsed and the roof was missing from what might have been an addition. None of the various outbuildings or rusted farm equipment on the property seemed to have seen any use since before the turn of the century. So I ventured in, wondering how much of the house I would be able to see (relatively) safely. 1. IMG_6682 by KMD1720, on Flickr 2. IMG_6647 by KMD1720, on Flickr 3. IMG_6649 by KMD1720, on Flickr 4.
