Hello everyone! It appears that this year is nearly over! I figure I should put out a little year in review. This has been my first year exploring, and I'm very excited to see how this next year goes! I started the year out with an accident. I was out with some friends walking in a park, and I looked across the train tracks and made a decision that would change my life for the better. Soon the hole in the fence was far behind me and what I saw was breathtaking.
After this discovery, I started researching locations, the history behind them, and Urbex as a whole as much as I could. I texted two of my friends, and asked them if they wanted to drive to the other side of the state to go check out a few locations that I had found. 9 hours of driving later, some warning shots over the head from an overzealous farmer, and narrowly avoiding getting detained by the army, we got home with some experience under our belt, and some important lessons learned.
Over the next several months I made my way through some of the various locations near me, learning more and more as I continued on.
As the year went on, the intensity and quality of the locations increased.
After a great year of exploring, I can't wait to see what comes next year. Some stats: Total locations explored:70 Power Plants:10 Hospitals/Asylums:3 Prisons:4 Corporate Headquarters:5 The Rest:48 Hope to see you all in the next year, so glad I discovered this. To many more years and many more amazing places to see. Hope you all have a happy new year!

I wish I could experience my first year or so of exploring again, when I was younger and had zero fear and unlimited drive to do literally everything. Great set.

Nice Work!!
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah |
