A small, yellow one family house of a very common type in Finland was hiding in the bushes.
A family of five once lived here. The last inhabitant was an old lady, who died more than 10 years ago.
They even had a surprised stove, which is choking on a stick.
The upstairs contained pretty much the whole childhood of the kids, who were youths in the 1960's: love letters, candy boxes, clothes, books and magazines.
One of the items was a program leaflet by famous Finnish artist Danny, who still in his 80's performs and is famous for his girlfriends who are in their 20's.
And this really was the strangest magazine ever. It contained Danny trivia and advertisements about all kinds of stuff from Danny's albums and merchandise to sex magazines.
There was also a readers' page, where someone had written a very obscene letter. The translation is in my blog, but I won't post it here, as I'm not sure it follows guidelines. The link is at the bottom.
And up next comes one of the personally most interesting finds I have ever made in an abandoned location:
The small auxiliary building and sauna on the yard featured lots of backstage passes to different festivals from the 1980's. They bore the name of one of the kids in the family.
What really got my attention was the company name Jörö Oy. When I was doing my media studies, I had a teacher nicknamed Jörö. He often told about his history as a sound techinician working with famous artists and festivals before taking up teaching. I contacted him after this exploration. It was his company and I had been exploring the childhood home of one of his employees.
