I changed my location but haven't been getting messages about them. Just the meetups where you find the local group and start being recognizable & exploring etc here's a pic of the cats at rosevelt for your time https://imgur.com/aakCFV0

Unfortunately, from what I hear the East Coast side of the community is an utter sideshow social-wise. Lots of feuding wannabe influencers cause enough chaos to prevent those who want a community from forming one.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

There are so many explorers out here but it definitely is super cliquey and fragmented. Most meet ups are usually just among friends. As the others mentioned the drama runs super deep out here.

Hop on some discords or find people on IG. Would probably be your best bet with finding people to explore and meet up with. There’s not really a big ‘scene’ anymore here or the huge meetups we used to have. Now it’s just small groups that explore because people are disrespectful towards each other and can’t get along. Around here anyway.

can't speak for NY/NJ but I stopped hosting meetups after a crew I met once returned to one of my favorite spots just to spill buckets of paint (not even decent tags, literally just tipping buckets of paint onto the floor), smash drywall, and break stuff. the place was never the same after that and they ruined it for everyone else. I'm all for spreading the love but that single experience soured me on the idea of meeting up with people I don't know or can't thoroughly vet for being legit
