Another chance spot I found perusing maps, conveniently found a day before being in the area so that was very handy. This was once a notable historic property owned by a string of fairly influential people during the Victorian era, but was sold to a textile manufacturing company for use as offices during the Second World War, it then became their training centre in the 1950s. In the late 1990s it was sold and converted into a hotel, and closed during the first of the COVID lockdowns in March 2020. Sadly the conversion into a hotel has resulted in a bland and featureless corporate interior, with the only saving graces being the stained glass window and swimming pool. Still, for a local spot, it really wasn't too bad. 1
