What do you think of it? Is it worth the risk? What kinds of places are best for this type of urbex?

I think urban exploration is about seeing what you aren't supposed to see, going share you aren't supposed to go. Any place is fair game. How much risk you are willing to accept and how comfortable you are with breaking the law is up to you. Abandonment is just one aspect.

Technically this describes rooftopping, so clearly it's a pretty standard thing to go exploring at non-abandoned locations.

Worth the risk depends on what the risk is. Active hotel, office building, hospital, airport, military base... see what I mean.
I will tell you this; a hard hat, clipboard, and the attitude that you have every right to be there will get you into a lot of places.

Indeed. There's quite the difference between a hotel rooftop and the turbine hall of an active power plant, even if both are non-abandoned.

can make it all the more thrilling depending on the location, urbex seems to cover an assortment of things like exploring tunnels or rooftops are in the same category at times, kinda what razzy mentioned urbex really is often jus the act of seeing things you aren't supposed to see

Don't be limited by anything other than common sense. Your common sense will also go away the more you do so just start with easy stuff like hotels and small construction sites and work up.

Personally, I've never properly explored an active location, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't. It's all about the amount of risk you're willing to take.

Well the hard hat route has worked for some before. I would call it infiltration on semi-live or live sites.
Some places on your list last one especially is too risky depending on what country your in doing it. Certain places carry a heavy penalty if caught.
