I visited Cuba many years ago and went to visit this old church. Shockingly at the time it was only a couple of weeks since the church members had relocated to a better location. They had spent decades going to this destroyed and broken down building. Structurally unsafe, the walls full of termites and the ceiling full of wasps.
You can see how they used a board to block a giant hole in the wall

Wow, I’m glad the church members got a better location! As a believer it’s kinda sad to see pictures of an old church abandoned and rotting, but at the same time it makes for a stirring mediation in the spirit of Ecclesiastes 3. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven... a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” Great photos OP!

Thank you! Behind the church was some small rooms for sunday school. This location was originally public housing and was turned into a church. After the members left the plan was to turn it into housing once again. So at least it will keep helping the community.
