Out in the absolute middle of nowhere, while travelling 50 over, I spotted this forgotten farmhouse perched high on a hill but well covered by mature trees. A few quick heel-toe downshifts and I had das auto in reverse, revving at 4500. I started checking off the boxes in my head: 1) Grass not cut 2) No cars in driveway 3) No trespassing sign faded to the point of being unreadable. However, the driveway/barn were clearly being used and cash crop had been planted. On top of that, power lines were still attached to the side of the house. The deal breaker was the tall analog antenna pole and the absence of any modern satellite equipment. I had to check it out:

There was a calendar from 2019 so it may not have been abandoned long ago. Judging by the nicotine stains and the jar full of cigarette wrappers, someone was a heavy smoker. The bedrooms contain many personal items, but I kept my visit brief and only shot those that were in plain sight. Thanks for looking!

Glad you decided to pop in. I'm surprised to hear there was a calendar from 3 years ago based on how the place looks.
