Splashtown San Antonio was initially opened in 1985 as Water Park USA. After nearly 40 years of operation ending with the summer 2021 season, it was officially announced in October 2021 that a zoning change had been approved for the land. The owner had decided to retire, so as seen here, the park is actively in the process of being turned into a Ford dealership. These photos were taken on April 23, 2022. I actually drove by the site the other day (May 30), and it's been completely leveled since. The only things left are the stairs to the water slides. Very sad :(
