Further from inner-Detroit lies the remains of a mostly-demolished auto-part factory. They made a lot of the small stuff in cars you don't see. I hear the site is a location that is up for redevelopment, the reason I came here.

A huge amount of area this plant took up had been demolished sometime in the late 2000's

The roof of the building was made of a thin concrete-metal sheet, with tar on top.

There were these second story concrete rooms, with a great view

The forging hall. There used to be two other skylight rooms parallel to this one.

One of these 'skylight spaces' was demolished in the middle, but each end of it stands strong.

Sometime the site was soil-tested by the EPA, finding lead and arsenic along with other chemicals, supposedly emitted by these smokestacks.

I saw some interesting things in the building, there were some round hooks hanging from the ceiling. these may have held some pipes or conveyor in the past. I saw the office space still had a few standing walls, despite lacking a sturdy floor; I could see right through it, leaves had fallen through as well. This place was interesting, despite 3/4 of the factory being completely demolished.
