No guarantee that it will work, but UER has a feature where you can try messaging a user based on their registration address. When you go to their profile, under their profile picture there are two envelope icons. The gold one on the left is for in-site PMs, and the grey one on the right is for messages sent directly to their registration email. So if his registration email is still in use, it will be sent to him.

Not looking good, his last few posts are about how he had to stop exploring due to lung cancer.
