I just spent two weeks exploring a series of amazing mines in southern Nevada. We dug our way into a long lost section of one mine. That required squeezing through a tiny hole, then an 80 foot rappel through the roof of a giant chamber. It's as scary as it sounds. Without a doubt, the most extreme exploration I've ever done!
This video shows the highlights of the trip with full videos coming soon.

Posted by Rinzler Hell yea. So jealous of how dry your mines are out there. Most of the wood in our coal mines, you can put your finger through.
I do love the dry mines! I know the wood you are talking about. I experienced that in mines in the UK. Everything that was metal is now a lump of rust.

Love the artifacts you come across too....looks like a great group you hang with...thanks for sharing
Thanks so much! This trip was special since we found so much new ground. Yeah, we are a good crew when we get together. So much more fun when everyone is having a good time. My friend from England is a bit of a legend in the mine exploring community. He has helped me get to the level I'm currently at. Always helping me get better.

Posted by Emperor Wang You guys are absolutely nuts in your devotion to your craft. And I love you for it.
Thank you for sharing, and I can't wait to see more.
Thank you so much for your kind words! My first grandchild was just born so I'm way behind. I'm still editing and hope to get the video out by the end of the week. Some tight squeezes and long rope drops, but completely worth it. This is one of the most explored mines in Nevada and we dug our way into an area that has been lost for a very long time. With out a doubt, the high point in my exploring career.
