It was finally a nice day in Detroit, which is when I made my first visit to the AMC building. In person the plant was way bigger than I thought, you can actually see the water-tower-building from pretty far away. The structure was also more ornate with it's tiling. This was a valley where a small building was, I was able to enter around here
Exiting the basement
These kind of vents were all over the fisher body plant
In the front of the factory was a bunch of furniture, a lounge space, a presentation hall maybe? and a coffee stand
The factory had tons of entry points, and a lot of light got in. I like that the original window frames seem to have been spared
I think all these metal bars were part of the ceiling tiles structure, I'm not sure
In the administration building, odd how the frames differ from the windows
Someone cut the ladder to the water tank for some reason
One of the court areas that survived scrapping
It was definitely worth visiting, I hear a developer wants to tear down the buildings and redevelop it like all the other nice-looking factories.

Twice I've had this spot on my Detroit to-do list and twice now it's not ended up happening for some reason or another. Hopefully I'll get back to the city before it goes.

I'm glad I made the journey to the top of the tower now that the ladder is unstable.

Looks sick, Detroit is definitely on my bucket list at some point. I have heard rumors that there are a bunch of underground tunnels connecting different former and current Ford locations in Detroit, do you know if they are true, and if they are did you visit any?

I know for sure that (soon to be renovated) Fisher 21 has sealed up the pipe tunnels that you speak of, and they still hold standing water year round, so I haven't messed with them as of yet.

The AMC HQ is being demolished right now, as well as continental motors which is being demolished for a self-storage warehouse https://www.thedri...y-being-demolished
It all sucks. These places would've made for some really unique-looking apartment or office buildings https://www.freep....troit/69724542007/

Was there almost 10 years ago. Loved it then, still love it
