Starting a new thread for posting pics of your urbexing coffee breaks, and discussing on-the-go brews. Where is the top place you've had UE coffee? Do you ever find coffee while exploring? What are your brewing methods? Usually I carry the single-dose coffee pouches, although sometimes I have a container with bulk grounds and brew in cheesecloth, or Turkish style. Hot water comes from a vacuum thermos that can keep boiled water near 100deg for half the day. Coffee at the top.

Bando-brews are always nice to have, especially on cold winter days! The only times I've had coffee like this were when I explored with Witek. I usually bring a thermos full of pre-made coffee or tea during my winter explores, though.

Oooohhh that’d be the best. Unfortunately for me, a coffee break would definitely cut my explore short. I have to stick with water.

Yeah, stopping to make coffee is a luxury that does not work on every explore. Often I would have a thermos of coffee also, and sometimes you never have a chance to sit down and take a break.

I just brew it in my Volkswagen on the way.
Haha... just kidding, I haven't been in an abandonment in like 5 years. (And these coffee makers are worth almost as much as the vintage VW itself)

I would kill anyone that made coffee while exploring.

Yess ! Coffee taste 10 times better in abandonned places. I usualy bring one of my liquid fuel stove and moka pot. I'll make sure to take picture next time. The only one I have at the moment is not exploring, it's from waiting at the ''Morants Curve'' (famous railfan spot for train pictures in BC).

Not so much coffee but many years ago me and my friend cooked up some noodles using a portable gas stove on the rooftop terrace of an abandoned hospital. That was pretty neat.

Hit me with a link? this looks interesting.
I'm the office coffee nerd, with my Areopress and tiny plug in kettle. Our office coffee is.... not good. So I make my own.

I'm getting ready to order an Aeropress to try out. I like my French press, but the Aeropress looks like it might take my brew up a level. I'm also looking for a decent hand grinder without having to mortgage my house for it. I'm not a coffee snob, but I really enjoy a good cup of coffee. Abby Normal

Did a small roadtrip with a friend last weekend. A mine and some drains. We were camping in my van (temperature was specialy low even for quebec, around -26*C (-14*F) for 3 days) so we made a lot of coffee to warm up. Here's some phone pictures of our not-so-tasty but really welcomed cups.
