Catacombes de Paris

I was in Paris for a couple of days during some vacations, so I didn't have time to find access to the catacombs, but I knew some people...unfortunately, they were unavailable that days, so I had to take the tour.

Because of that, I don't have a lot of pictures, and the experience was....a bit disappointing.

Anyway, I'll go back there someday, and find an access

Even if you only had access to the tourist section these came out nicely!

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

Thanks

But it was definitely not the atmosphere I was hoping for.
And it was difficult to have nobody in the pictures.

Nice set!
I was hoping to go there next year, since I blew through my vac time this year.

Indeed, it is best to go with somebody, but if you are a risk taker ya can try going with the map by yourself (and always have copies of map even if you are with someone!)

I wonder if the most famous and easy P.C. POE has been sealed at this point in history. I remember during my first trip friendly cataphiles told us of two other POEs through manholes, will have to think hard where those were if I end up in Paris again. I hope I do.
Ya need weeks to even get a feel for the place =)

Yes, I wouldn't go in there by myself, even with a map, it can be dangerous if anything happens to you in there. Sometimes water rises pretty high in some places.

And I think nowadays, POEs are much more difficult to find. It is well secured I believe. I still know people that go in there, but they told me it's not as easy as it's used to be (probably because of several incidents that happened in there).

But I wish I could go with someone, someday

“Fortunate, who was able to know the causes of things”.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.
