This 8 story warehouse was damaged in a fire, which is why most of the office property was torn down. The building used to be a tobacco plant, which is why the windows are bricked up instead of just a concrete wall. Even then, many would rather buy & build elsewhere rather than follow requirements that historians & historical architect strangers would require. Way too much $$$ to structurally re-fit the building, add modern HVAC, and create interior work spaces that people like YOU AND ME would demand these days. So if someone is buying a place like the above, the concern needs to be that they haven't done due-diligence & understand what all the expenses and national/state/local requirements are going to be, and/or that they're just looking for something CHEAP and have no real intention of dumping $$$ into the renovating the structure. /-/oolie There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.
