It's been a good long while since I was last out 'properly' exploring, and this one involved a cheeky afternoon off work once I saw it crop up online. I first saw photos of the car in this location - an early pre-facelift Ford Granada Mk.2 - around a decade ago and the only description was 'abandoned in a garden centre', and I was never able to find it with such a vague description. So imagine my shock when I see a photo of it in an abandoned garden centre and I was finally able to track it down. The garden centre itself was also more than worth a look, made up of multiple buildings and a small house. It appeared to have ceased business operations around 2005 although carried on being used in some capacity until 2011, and even more confusingly there is a calendar hanging in the large shop building dated 2019. The property is owned by a local councillor who is by all accounts a real arsehole, a few years back for instance he refused to allow electrical utility workers onto the property to repair damaged power lines, so he isn't the most popular person and is likely leaving the eyesore here out of spite. It appears to have closed suddenly owing to the amount of old merchandise left in the shop and the enormous mountains of paperwork in the office. 1

Nice set! Some pretty nasty injuries in that "Accident Book"!! Canes through pinky, split thumb with reap hook, and my favorite, fell off tractor. Granny Green must have been pushin' them so hard they took to self mutilation....
