Ok, here goes my first thread, I know it's not the most exciting material but I thought it would be good for a first run. Constructive criticism encouraged. I checked out Angelia Park recently while I was in the area. It's an amusement park that has been pretty much completely razed, but I think it's still worth checking out if you're in the area. I also found some abandoned equipment nearby which I do not think was part of the park. It's easy to get to, right off a major highway. It's totally legal to explore here as far as I can tell, no "no trespassing" or "private property" signs of any sort. The park has a locked gate, but to the left of the locked gate there is a short dirt road where you can park. I saw other people parking here and walking their dogs through the trails around the abandoned park. I did not realize this at first so I parked at a nearby store and fought through sticker bushes for an hour and a half - don't make my mistake! 1) Gate - to the left is the dirt road where you can park. Super easy to get to.
2) It's mostly concrete and lamp posts leftover
3) This small area is fenced off for some reason
4,5) Cluster of lamp posts and fencing
6) Basketball?
7) The grass growing through the blacktop makes a cool design here
8,9,10) There are a lot of foundations left over, some are in the middle of the woods which I thought was odd
11) Large metal pipe in the creek next to the park
12) This path starts at the entrance mentioned in the intro, goes past the foundations above, then brings you to the open park area
13-16) Venturing NWN of the park through the woods, I came across some abandoned construction equipment. Small, heavy trailers and a concrete mixer.
17) Random tree house!
It was fun exploring the area and seeing what was left. Very easy to get to and no sweat checking this place out.

That "tree house" is a hunters tree stand. Make sure you wear bright colors if you go back during hunting season. Cool collection of photos though. Place was probably pretty cool back in the day.

Looks like a pretty neat place to walk around. Its cool how the walkways still define some of what used to be above the surface.

Those old military trailers are sick
