Hello, Just putting myself out there if anyone is in this area and wants to explore. There are two of us. We are both female if that matters. 40 and 25. We are respectful of the locations we go in and discrete both during and after our explorations. We like to take pictures to look back on but we don't center our visits around photography. If we don't take any because we are being too stealthy, we are alright with that. We are in it for the experience. We enjoy more of the creepy or old looking locations or some place with interesting history ( especially if its spooky, weird, or crime related) and we love exploring old graveyards and very old homes/buildings with old junk in them.
If you're in this area and know this area, drop me a message. Me /Her

I guess I'm the resident old balls explorer for the area. Lol. There's really not many better places to live, if you like this hobby. So many local options! Check out my IG @Forgotten_Rockford Most everything I post is local, or somewhat local.
~Quote By Thomas Edison~ I have far more respect for the person with a single idea who gets there than for the person with a thousand ideas who does nothing....
New to the forum, but it's been extremely nice to have it as a resource recently, and I can sit here reading it for hours lol. I checked out your insta, and it's beautiful! I really love the vibes. I've been living in the Rockford area for about a year and a half now, but back in the city I used to live in, there was so much to explore, and it was all amazing. having a bit of trouble finding stuff here, especially now that it's getting winter, but I've found a few sweet spots! your insta really inspired me to keep looking though. Thank you.

I don't get out a whole lot to explore, or get on here too often, but I'm just a little to the west of Rockford in one of the small towns. I like to explore here and there, but not a big fan of doing it by myself. I'm into 35mm film photography mostly.

I just temporarily moved out to Montana, but before that I was living in southern Wisconsin for several years and spent a great deal of time exploring in the northern Illinois, Chicago, and Gary areas. You're certainly within a 1-3 hour drive of plenty of abandoned buildings anywhere in the eastern half of that region. It's a good place for urbex.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

Oh yeah, this area has a lot to see for sure. I've seen you on here a lot, and I know you've explored with Dan before. Got to meet him a few years back and have lunch, but we've just never been able to connect the dots to go on an explore together. Still chat with him from time to time.
