Abandoned theatre exploration

Had a grand time exploring an abandoned theatre recently. Though in a bit of a shady area, I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a lot of vandalism. A few relics here and there... my favorite being old popcorn boxes.

The theatre is hopefully going to be restored in the near future but still needs a lot of donations apparently. It does have a long history. For example, it was at one point an actual movie theatre that ran 24 hours. This allowed nearby mill workers to watch a movie at any hour PS. I'm lazy and don't edit. Enjoy!

I bet it would have been a blast to see a show there before it closed.

Great set! Thank you!

I would love to see this place finally renovated. It has been a long time coming. Do you know if they are nearing their goal? I participated in a small fundraiser of sorts about 11 years ago. Not sure what progress they've made since then.

They're close. The only problem is the longer it takes to raise the $$, the more the restoration will cost. Last I heard it was around $40 Mil, and they have 30 something.

This is straight out of a Fallout game, what a find! I like the fourth photo, the light from your camera hits it just right.

Yep you’re exactly right. As time goes on, the renovation is taking more $$$. It’s such a shame. My other concern is the location itself. Not exactly the nicest of areas so I wonder how they will attract business when it does open.
