Blue Moon Mill

The winters up here are harsh enough to make exploring pretty difficult, if not impossible, so it's been quite a while since I've come around here, unfortunately. I haven't been entirely dormant though, so I've got a couple of neat places to share with y'all.

This paper mill was my first real outing of the year, and it's a bit of a well-hidden gem. From the public-facing exterior, it's hard to pin it as being vacant at all, and the very little information available online depicts a more or less successful case of adaptive reuse. Behind the facade, it's a ruined shell, its machinery long since stripped out and scrapped and its roof slowly falling in. It's rare in my experience to find a paper mill that isn't liberally coated with graffiti, though, and the color scheme and the numerous vintage signs really made this example stand out.

On the way back, I passed one of the more unusual vehicle graveyards I've ever seen, combining classic cars and rolling stock in a pasture far from any rail line. Most of my photos are on film, and even those are sparse because it was difficult to set up shots without being visible from the property owner's house, but I was pleased with these.

Thanks for looking, and stay tuned for more!

Wow, those shots! Incredible. So many good ones but 8 & 9 take the cake for me.
