Nestled in the water behind towering smokestacks and amongst honking geese lays a labyrinth of ghost boats. Creating a maze-like path through the water, the boats in this graveyard are long-abandoned mining barges. The barges were used in what was once a large mining operation nearby. As the mines closed, the need for the boats diminished. They were tied to shore and left in the water sometime in the mid-1940s. These wooden skeletons are all that remain.
