Burnt But Unbroken: Stained Glass Temple

Last weekend I traveled down to Chicago to meet with another explorer and hit some local spots. Despite a couple close calls with the Chicago PD we managed to explore some cool locations, and this Baptist church was the first and most scenic one.

Despite being abandoned for several years the interior was remarkably intact. Sure, there was some minor arson damage and the altar stage had been smashed up, but the stained glass windows were all intact- and what beautiful stained glass windows they were.

The first shot is by far my favorite, especially given how many takes it took to get it right- but it was worth it. I'm still hyped about that stained glass to be honest, it was one of the coolest things I've seen in a while.

Beautiful place, and fantastic photos! There's something so unique about the vibe of abandoned churches... eerie in a very beautiful way, if you ask me. That stained glass is incredible.

There's more to life than what you see on the surface...
