Three story mansion built in 1970. was SUPER sketchy getting here but def worth it. Been vacant since 2000 and is slowly decaying. Looks like a fun hike, nice shots

Wow! Looks very similar to my rich then drunk then broke then divorced then disowned then homeless then dead Uncle Bill's house in Sedona. Used to go there as a kid ('70's-80's). Similar, but not it. View from his giant balcony was nothing but a wall of red rock mountain - might have been Coffee Pot Rock, can't recall.... None the less, it really looks similar - brought back some memories of some epic summer adventures. Great share - thank you!

Awesome photos. Looks like it was totally worth it!

nice job. Guessing the sketch part was the hike to it? Shame to see it just go to waste.

The pictures I took dont show the whole story but many support beams are failing and the floor has many holes and cracks in it. Along with many holes in the walls. I actually heard a crack in the floor while walking on the third story like the floor was about to give out. Looks decent in the pictures but the house has to be torn down and rebuilt, next time I go ill get more pictures of the damages. In person though its falling apart and pretty sketchy to be inside. I forgot to add the picture I took but there's actually a hole in the entry way that drops down 30-40 feet to who knows where.

If it was made of wood, I'd agree with ya, but nevermind lol.

The view, though. Nice find! I take it what's left of the driveway is completely overgrown with cacti and brush? I wasn't there, but the place looks structurally sound enough, from where I'm sitting. I'd assume the desert would be a little kinder to wood and most building materials than rainier climates, over time, but I might be wrong. Anyway, I'd love to crack a beer on that patio at sunset. I see little need for the house. Just make sure there's no rattler in your sleeping bag when you call it a night, and you're in starry desert nirvana!

I dont know why I didn't post all the photos I got, I got some of the driveway but yea. Its all overgrown and cracking apart. Since this house in on top a mountain the driveway is like a mile long or something like that. But the beginning of the driveway has been removed so you cannot access the house with a car. You can tell no ones been inside for a longgg time.

Would love to know the history of this place and why they'd abandon such a nice view. The walkways are especially nice touch!

Pretty incredible. Great views. Bummer someone left it.

Nice set. Does make me wonder why someone would leave a place like that to rot, though.

It's a shame that it's slowly rotting. Looks like it used to be a really beautiful place.
