Definition of Metallike: Resembling metal. metallic-looking, metal-looking. metal, metallic - containing or made of or resembling or characteristic of a metal; "a metallic compound"

Went here at the end of last month with a buddy of mine and I am sure glad I did and can't wait to go back before it's gone! I hope y'all enjoy the shots I captured that day.

After a short walk in the wind and cold and down an icy drive, we came to this large area. It's full of building materials on the far end of the building from the demolition efforts. Also some random finds that you'll see below that I thought were kinda dope!

Man their parking fees must be wicked high, these vehicles have been here for a while! I remember when I went over to this side of the building and saw the cars I couldn't believe there were just sitting there albeit a little banged up but really kool-looking and not much decay surprisingly.

Now I can't forget our little buddy, This is the only shot I got of him, doesn't he look so excited to go 'splorin?! You may just find him tucked into some machinery. If you do see him take a picture and tell him I said "Hi!"

Spotted this board with employee numbers and what would go in here are timecards/punch cards. Unfortunately, the time-clock was long gone. I wish it was still there offering an insight as to the last hour the building was powered/operational. But of course, we are just left with rust and peeling number tags.

"CLEAN YO GLASS FOO!" That's what I said when I got home and slapped this picture into LR and noticed all the dust on the lens. I sat there and edited the shot and thought, "You know it actually doesn't look that bad, I kind of like it!" I guess it adds something to the shot for me, Besides that nothing special.

Nothing really to say here about this shot, I just thought it looked kool.

This was the last shot I took on the lower floor before going to the second/third level. I just love the rust and peeling paint. I try to find it whenever I go to a place.

The amount of records, filing cabinets, desks, and old magnetic tape readers for older computers and other random things was just crazy here. The greenish light coming in really made this area of the building feel like I was in a post-apocalyptic movie. Especially after editing this photo to really give it that feeling that I felt at the time.

Dated: 09/10/1966 "Roll Inspection Sheet" These were some of the records soaked in water, dirt, and who knows what else. Such a kool find and I am sure records there could go back as far as another 50 years if I had the time to look.

Dated: 11/25/1952 "Customer Order Sheet" This was another kool find at a different cabinet, it also was covered by what looked like mold and other good stuff. I love that it was typed up maybe even by the typewriter that is only 50ft away. **Small black redaction due to location info**

More of the same records retention area/factory office/inspection floor.

Now this...this I spotted on my way out and the blue color really jumped out at me. It almost looks like tarnish on a copper penny if you know what I mean. The peeling paint was found on some kind of storage container that was full of water err I mean ice and some other items that I am sure are highly toxic and well unfortunately for me and for you this trip has come to an end. I plan on returning soon before any more demo work is done and we lose more history and beauty (yes, I did say beauty).

Anyways I hope you all enjoyed my photos from this trip and I will see y'all on the next one!
