Urbex on Indian Reservations

Has anyone ever explored on the Reservations?
I have seen quite a few buildings around Crow Agency Montana that I would love to check out. One of which is a decent sized burned out school.

I have been hesitant to do so, as I am not sure how the cops/ locals are if you were to get caught exploring.

Has anyone here had any experience in such areas? How was your experience?

Personally I think we have all done enough trespassing on native peoples land the last couple hundred years.

Up until recently, the Crow Nation law enforcement was provided by the BIA. As of July, the Crow Nation has their own police. I'm not all that sure that makes any difference. I do know they're still hiring cops.

IIRC, there's a casino in Crow Agency. I would imagine that most of police activity is related to the casino and the surrounding area.

One thing I saw as well was an abandoned Motel that I wanted to check out right off of the interstate. But, like I mentioned (whole point of my post) not sure how it would go down if I was caught...

two words

tribal police

dealt with them while hunting in New Mexico some years ago

not very professional threatened to seize my $1500 rifle even though I was on BLM land (disputed by some native tattle tale no boundary markers or signs)

Here's the thing about the reservations in Montana. They are extremely extremely poor, hence a larger number of abandoned buildings. Please don't explore on the reservations. As someone else said, we've trespassed on their land enough. Leave them be.
