Cool photos! I've been hoping to find some abandoned mines here in the Appalachians now that I'm in the area, but they're not exactly all that safe to be exploring in alone lol
What state was this in?

This is in North Georgia. Definitely not safe to go alone or at all lol, but luckily that one wasn't too tricky to explore.

There were a few levels that were almost dry actually, but at one point the only way to continue is to swim into a small, mostly flooded tunnel that descends at 45° angle into pitch black darkness and that was a big nope for me.
