I am a managed service provider based in the united states. I have also been an explorer for years.
I have a web hosting server that has plenty of available space for hosting photo galleries and websites. We own the equipment and network bandwidth.
I would like to make a basic hosting package available to any urban explorer that would like to build their website and photo galleries .
Lets figure out what a good set of spec would be for 5$/month..
My starter idea is
Unlimited Transfer
4 GB Storage Space
10 Email Accounts
5 Sub Domains
5 FTP Accounts
5 MYSQL Databases
This provides you with a fully functional Hosting Account.

If you can make something, anything, cheaper than flickr, I think you could win the hearts of some urbexers.
I would just expand your target audience to more than just urbexers since its a niche market and may be hard to monetize effectively enough to cover all of your costs.

it seems that Flickr is 50$/yr. This is a little bit different than Flickr....
this provides hosting for you to design your own web site. i can drop it down to $3.50/month or $42.00/year and also provide the same services as posted above. The only thing ill have to manage is the usage of storage space..
each account will come with 5GB and can be expanded as needed. no limit on the number of pictures just their overall size..
