Hey guys - some exciting news. There's gonna be a huge demolition in Richmond,VA this weekend! https://www.nbc12....arters-demolition/
There's bound to be some excitement to be had and some interesting photography involved. The authorities want us to stay at least 15 blocks away and wear mask/eye protection if we're crazy enough to watch.
I'm trying to figure a good vantage point to watch - any ideas?
If you want to meet up and shoot some photos together I'm down for that too.

I might try to watch it from the Manchester Bridge as long as they don't have the whole thing blocked off. Jefferson St garage would probably be the back up. Thanks for sharing this, I had no idea it was happening.

Settled on shooting from the flood wall on the south side of the James. Did something I hadn't done since high school - and predawned the rocks to get out to my shot. Loads of people came out for a good time - and it was fantastic to watch. Bye bye old Dominion building - hello, new skyline.
