Very cool. The Jamaican places are interesting. (So are the rest)

I keep looking at drones but have yet to buy one.
How do you like the Mavic Mini?

Awesome! These are great shots. I just got in from test flying mine as per your recommendations for the mini. Definitely worth it!

Great battery life and great bargain drone just the image quality is that of a old generation smart phone. But right on for getting a drone!

One day I hope to just go all in and get a Mavic Pro 2. Image quality looks significantly better and also has impressive night photo capability! Compare the two full size pictures between the two drones and its Cell phone images compared to Camera photos.

I'd be down to get the mavic mini when they release the second version if they were to reduce the battery life and put that spared weight into making the camera a tad higher resolution specifically talking about photos.

It’s definitely worth the money. I know about 5 other people now who have it and all enjoy it.

For $400 as a base price it isn’t bad. You’re not going to obviously get the same quality as a drone for $1500? The images still aren’t bad and with editing, they actually come out fine. Obviously night shots can be a bit hard or grainy, but for $400, it works. I’ll probably end up getting a Pro in a year or two, but for now this is fine. If you’re buying a drone to take award winning images, you probably won’t buy the Mini.

Seems like it’s all the same around North America for the most part. Typical rules like you can’t fly over private property or over cars/people. Can’t fly over large crowds or sports events. Can’t fly within a certain distance of airports/military bases/restricted area. Can’t fly in national parks or wildlife management areas. In Jamaica it says you can’t fly over public property either, but I doubt they really care. Cops hardly seem to know drone laws anyway off the top of their heads lol.

I flew mine in a national park in New Jersey and nobody cared. It’s really up to the local law enforcement or if the park has its own police force. As long as you’re not over someone’s house or near a restricted area, I doubt you’d have many problems.

Nice shots!

Can you crack a drone to bypass the gps?

Yes. There’s a program called No Limit Dronez which lets you install older software that has no restrictions. The Mini does not have said software yet, but tin foil blocks the gps signal. Just don’t fly it over the water in case it auto lands. It can randomly pick up 1 or 2 satellites.
