Right before the shelter in place orders came to the bay area I arranged a meetup with a group of Californian explorers. Despite some concerns about the coronavirus, we still had a very large turnout. We even had one come from SoCal! We explored a variety of local favorite spots and got into one stellar, nearly untouched location (post coming soon). Here's a few pictures from the day as I assume more shots will be coming from the others!

Hopefully one of the others has a pic of the building babes

Great shots, Xiketic! Wish I coulda made it up there for this, but I'll definitely make sure to be there for the next one, if the virus doesn't get me first!

Had a very fun time at the meetup! We had a really good group and it was nice to be able to get to know everyone a bit better.

We made it to quite a few awesome places and were super successful. Some of the places were very well known bay area locations but we also ran into a couple more obscure locations that turned out to be excellent explores.

Some nice shots in this thread - absolutely love the hallway lighting ones. Really sad I was out of the area for this, hope to manage to catch the next one.

Before The Corona Dropped

Despite the on coming quarantine, we assembled a great group of
explorers. We called ourselves the Corona Crew.

Familiar places, pitfalls, mud, ripped clothes, and some really great discoveries
were made that day. Joining with as much 10 explorers at one point, it was a sight to see like minded people sharing a visceral experience.

seems you guys/girls have a nice little exploring bond/group put together, keep it up and play nice & I'm sure everyone will make FM within a set amount of time. This is exactly how the forum and region should be working together.

**BUMP**

Bump for this thread to see if there's any current Bay Area members in this forum still active and open to the idea of group explores. I am still fairly new to the Urbex World (3 months) but have a bucket list of spots I want to explore.

I have mainly explored by myself but looking to team up with fellow curious minds. Anyone open to the idea?

I just want to explore places my own family and friends wouldn't.

Gonna be that guy and necro - saying that I'm super interested in going out on exploration with people if anyone decides to do this again.

Did hit up some people but looks like they haven't been on here since last year or earlier this year sadly ... ; v ;

^^ the question you should be asking is: "is anyone active on this board anymore?"

if we can get a group going and a planned date, i'd be down to join! i usually have my weekends planned out over a month in advance so its definitely harder for me to free up time unfortunately.

No credit for our explore? Just kidding, I will say, I love UER and the people I have met along the way, but unfortunately, when it comes to active post here, it has been a lot quieter in recent years, take it as you may, for me, I am still pretty active, just have learned to sit on spots more and keep spots under the radar as much as possible. There is definitely still an active group of explorers in the bay on here, they just don't post as much on here anymore. Keep trying and look forward to what you will accomplish! Good luck!

You are the golden exception! Only person I've actually met and can confirm is not a very clever bot here

Totally would tag along again if you ever want +1 body

But yeah, I'm just itching to get to know some other locals since my friends just understandably are too nervous to want to come along. Or the ones that did were like okay cool, crossed that off on things I did, and never want to risk again. Despite absolutely nothing happening.

And thus, a small bit answered

I suppose so! But also definably made it clear in posts that I would very much enjoy meeting up with others - even just sizing each other up over at a cafe or something haha

Thanks to COVID, my weekends are pretty empty because all the usual things just... aren't happening, slowly coming back, but I often spend my days off just doing video games and /thinking/ about going out to places, but talking myself out of it because only a matter of time doing things solo I'm going to run into a bit of trouble
