I found this place near an abandoned, unfinished subdivision in North Georgia. As far as I can tell, only one house on the street is still occupied, with all of the others either abandoned or for sale. Parts of the top floor had collapsed into the basement and it was covered in rusted nails and broken glass, but generally it wasn't too dangerous. It was filled with everything from children's toys to betamax tapes, a record player, preserved mason jars, family photos, a dilapidated barn and even an old middle school yearbook protected in a rotting chest. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmLSSMqV]

I like the shelf with all the jars on it. Surprised that's intact while everything else is collapsed. Very cool.

I think that places like north Georgia have a lot of cool old mountain houses like that due to the expansion of Atlanta a lot of people have left and some more have branched out to north GA.

I was always too afraid to explore that subdivision alone, great shots never new it looked like that inside.

I dunno if this is the same one you’re referencing or not, but there was a subdivision I visited probably 5-6 years back in north GA that was never finished. Total ghost town, walking dead status, except that the houses weren’t even totally finished. People also dumped couches, tires, etc back there and there was a bunch of paint. Pretty cool.
