Texas Tops: Up a Roof Without a Camera

Was going to post the original un edited larger dump to the south forum, but as I started narrowing down my shots and editing some here and there I decided there were enough photographically pleasing ones to merit editing a bunch to post here.

Long story short my camera fell down a hell hole a few years back and so for a couple years I explored with just my samsung s8. Some of these were shot in RAW and edited in photoshop, most were just shot as jpgs and edited with the VSCO app.

Editing is kind of all over the place, I was just having fun and treating each image separately as opposed to part of a set.

Hope you enjoy a decent dose of vertigo.

Before anyone calls me out, that's me modeling my friends camera for a shot 😂

This one is actually not edited at all. That was a glorious sunset!

Yes, he's only hanging onto a rope we found and tied into the mechanical room. And yes climbing above this window to take this was sketchy...

Thanks! Although I prefer to call them by their irish origins as "Brogues" as I've got a fair bit of irish in me and also the idea of "rattlin through the bog" in a brand new pair of brogues, is quite charming to me haha.

Come down to Texas, and we can go on a roof tour. Hit every roof in the city in about 6 hours! At the end you will either have glutes of steel, or be labeled a terrorist by homeland security.

Or both.

But you'll get dope pics!

Awesome shots. Looking at these pics and I'm getting nausea. With me being clumsy I picture myself tripping and falling to my death....

Hell fuuuuuuuuuuuucking yes. Really amazing set. Top notch.

The "hello" peaking through in one shot is nice. And the rest, so well done.

#3 looks like it was shot in the 1980's from the grain and hue. Whether that was intentional or not, it's still super cool. Gettin' the willies sitting in my chair just looking at these!

Here's two more I meant to post but forgot. Also taken on my phone.

This one is virtually unedited besides crop and actually turning DOWN the saturation lol. Very wild roof. The lights very slowly change colors as well.

I just liked the sunset and the silhouettes on this one.

These are insane! Very few things I've done can compare. It would definitely help if I had better/more willing photog friends.

While having someone to model in frame is really nice for scale, I actually prefer roofing alone. One person draws less attention, and on the chance you do get caught, you don't have to worry about everyone having their story straight.

Ive looked through these several times and just could not settle on any one or two to even comment on. They are ~ALL~ lovely and have significance. Each one tells its own story. Beautiful tops! One and All.
