Last Friday I delivered some paperwork to a client located in a three floor office building in Chantilly, Virginia. Upon exiting the the stairwell (I take the stairs for exercise), I noticed the south side of the second floor was being renovated. Since I had some time on my hands, I surreptitiously looked around. I did not hear any work being performed or any sounds, but I carried the paperwork just in case of any encounters. I did not linger too long since I was working, but here are a few photos.

(this is only a joke)
It would be fun to do something absolutely harmless. Like stick up a couple post it notes that say something strange and ambiguous like. IDK, "Its in the walls" or "pick up pregnancy tests at cvs" or "toilets clogged again" or some random cryptic number like in lost (TV show). We would not do that, but it would be funny. B

It's always tempting. That's what separates our community from vandals and others.

Well, when opportunity strikes...! It's interesting to compare under-construction or renovation buildings to older ones that haven't been updated in a century to see the differences.

Wow, the work here is, of course, for a few weeks at least. Although, in principle, I saw the situation much worse since I work in this area.

No worries. I agree.

Good catch, Steed. 감사합니다!

These pictures remind me of the time my friend ordered https://economicti...ompanyid-13761.cms at his house. I briefly visited him during that period and what I saw greatly reminded me of abandoned buildings with either unfinished repairs/renovations or are just crumbling down on their own due to lack of maintenance. I have been very busy with the pandemic and all, but now that the situation is becoming so much more manageable I might just go explore some locations that I have yet to visit. I really miss the feeling of exploring abandoned locations and this post only made me miss it so much more.

Posted by rubyarcox I like this office, It looks so spacious

My spammy senses are tingling.....
| |
Posted by rubyarcox It seems that it will be a nice and comfortable office. I like that it is spacious. Before the quarantine, my company also changed the office to a more spacious one. I liked to work there, but because of the quarantine, we started to work from home. Now we also work from home, and from time to time I want to feel the atmosphere from offices. This is why I go to coworking spaces in Chicago to feel the vibe from time to time. While I see people working on their ideas and tasks around me, I am also motivated to work. *spam link*

My senses are usually right. See you on the banned list with the others shortly. Buh-bye.

In 2001, we restored our 1951 ranch-style house. We added a second floor with the main bedroom, bathroom, two walk-in closets, more storage, and mechanical. We did it because, like you, we wanted to continue living in the area we loved. For us, it was well worthwhile. All new wiring, plumbing, HVAC, vaulted ceilings in the main living room, garage converted to offices, laundry, etc., and the front garage was added by https://www.reddit.com/r/ShittyHouses/ as part of the complete house restoration. In our instance, the absence lasted around 10 months. Any makeover of this magnitude is undoubtedly not for the weak of the heart.
