Next thing I know, 30 minutes have passed and I’m reading about Ebola and Leprosy on the WHO website, lol.
Lerposy is in the family of bacteria that cause TB. Slow growing and slow to respond to antibiotics. Fortunately you have to have a certain genetic makeup to be suspectable to Leprosy. Only 2% has it... lol, don't handle armadillos; the are known carriers.
Worry more about hantavirus around here and the kissing bug ie chagas disease. Real living nightmares
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Well, too late for me Ive actually eaten armadillo, that was back in 1975 or 76 so I guess Im in the 98 percentile or cooking long enough in chili kills the leprosy bug.
(for those that will ask, no it does not taste like chicken, now alligator is another matter it really does taste like chicken to me, spongey, springy chicken)

Lol, what's the meat like?
Leprosy isn't very contagious even if you are susceptible.
TB is extremely contagious if in the sputum. Oddly some like myself have had heavy exposure and never went positive. With other just one brief, chance encounter is all it takes. Respiratory techs and geriatric workers contract it a lot. If you haven't been tested for it in decades best to check. The new test is a blood draw and is better than the old skin test method. No doubt more expensive too...

As I recall it was like pork kinda gray and stringy and I had a few long necks before dinner so Im not the connoisseur :/
Hmm, can’t say I’ve tried armadillo but I have had frog legs and they definitely taste like chicken - albeit a little gamey. Probably closer to the alligator than the armadillo in taste, lol.

"Thus far, the virus has spread to more than two dozen countries outside of China. There are 20,704 confirmed cases; there have been 427 deaths and 727 recoveries."
Notice a huge glaring discrepancy? Seems the Chinese are bury/cremating their dead so fast they forgot how to count. It spreads fast, has a long asymptomatic period and is most likely much deadlier than is being reported by the Chinese.

What seems the most frightening to me isn't necessarily the mortality rate, but the ease of transmission. In China, over 1,700 healthcare workers have been infected. One would have to assume that they know better than anyone the ways to take precautions against contagions and yet... That's a lot of healthcare workers!

^ China is lying about the mortality rate. They stopped counting and started stacking bodies; completely out of control. I think this is already a virulent strain with a high mortality rate. Depending how it mutates it can be worse than anything ever seen due to it's infectiousness and ease of transmission.
Posted by NeuroticMatt I'm just back at work after a week in bed with this flu asshole.
Still exhausted and sluggish, stomach still jacked up. I hates it.
That shit will be with you all this week... rest as much as you can. It was close to a month until I had all my cardio endurance back. With me the cough and nose weren't that bad at all but it was a real little drawn out weird bitch. Don't push it too hard as you don't want any serious complications...
Imodium and eat light; let your gut heal. Stay hydrated. No milk. Try to avoid using NSAIDs. First 2 days I forgot about eating and mostly slept. May have hit your GI tract harder than me though; this shit is weird, incapacitating and painful.
In general for long term GI hell brown rice, bananas and gatorade 50-50 with water will keep you alive when nothing else will stay down... just saying. Nicotine helps too if you're partial to it.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
The Fourth of July will mark the third year I have been vegan. I find it interesting that I have not had a single cold or flu related illness since becoming vegan (knocking on wood). It's actually a surprise to me since I am older.
That being said, I hope everyone who is down with the bug gets better soon.

So did the Chinese develop and unleash this strain of coronavirus onto its people in order to stop the Pro-democracy, Pro-American riots that were happening in their country all summer long?
