If you check my previous posts you'll find it is you who is repeating what I said years before you were here... your evolution is painful to watch. As for newbies I've gotten far more jumped in than you. One reason is because I've always been active in PMs... oh I mean DMs. One at a time. Difficult? Try that line on a pissed off LEO... I dare you. How about this? THINK before you post a thread on the Main Forum. This is exactly why the Rookies section was created... so glad you posting this outside of there

It is also counterproductive to make things unnecessarily difficult for members who have been here half a decade. Calm down.

Posted by Thinklikefreak You could come to Portland Oregon and DM me and I'll meet you or just about anybody for a cup of coffee or beer. I can't promise I'll take you exploring afterwards but could likely give you tips on finding stuff and clues.

Cheers man

#maxkrew, you don't... come out, come out, wherever you are.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

Posted by blackhawk ...if you want to meet people here the best way to do that is explore, post pics, and interreact with others here. Trust is built over time. If people feel comfortable with you, they will come to you.

^Actually good advice.
Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you. |

I've never met up with anyone from UER, but have had some success meeting people from local urbex groups on facebook. I'm in the most isolated city on earth, gimme a break! There are a lot of bullshitters and armchair explorers on those groups, so you've got to search a bit for people who actually like to explore. Look for people who post pics that aren't the same old places everyone in your home town knows about. Meet up for a beer or coffee somewhere first so it's easy to bail if they're weird. Don't be offended if they are hesitant or refuse to meet up. That's their right. Avoid anyone who comments "location pls" on pics. Ghost hunters are generally fun to explore with and respect locations, even if they're a bit weird.

I need to meet up with new people to explore. My travel/ explore bud joined the military. I haven't gone exploring since.

I definitely need to meet up with people from UER. Back in TN my friend and I went everywhere but since moving to NYC its obviously harder to do these days. NYC has some insane security and its just crowded. First step in meeting folks is the hardest I suppose.
no god! please no! nooooooooooooo |

Don't meet anyone right now. Not only is their a pandemic currently going on but you typically can't trust anyone on the internet. Stick with real friends that you can make lasting memories with or go it alone. Ontop of all of that didn't you say you were a minor in another thread? I like reading the forum but meeting with anyone here, especially a full member would likely be like enjoying a cup of coffee with a snobby elitist. It wouldn't end well and I'd regret ever not being a lone wolf even if it was just for a day.
I'm a lone explorer because I hate people. |

Thanks for calling full members snobby elitists. We appreciate that.
