A Church
< on 12/20/2019 8:13 AM >

I haven't barely been exploring, or out taking photos for about a year or so. And a few months ago, I decided to start taking photos of abandoned and bombed out cars. Then, I discovered that there are some abandoned buildings in my area, but not much. I barely remembered how to take photos indoors in darkish areas.

This is an old church, with just about no character at all. But, it was something to photograph.

It is also on the same land as a partially active plant that I've been scoping out. Hopefully will get into that soon. It has been really mobbed by security trucks every time I drive by. .I think I've nailed down my approach and will be in by the new year!

Here's some photos.

I wouldn’t say that church has no character at all. It looks really cool in its setting, in particular.

Nicely shot! Glad to see you’ve been able to find some places to get into.

This has character! Reminds me of some of the rural Texas churches I come across. I appreciated the composition and balance of the first shot, and also enjoyed #4 too. Thanks for sharing this little place.

Thanks everyone.

I did think the exterior was very photogenic, while the interior was a bit difficult to pull anything interesting from it. I like the original light fixtures. It gave me a Kill Bill vibe at least.

And, I did get into said mill. Whoa. Spent a few hours there. It's definite;y an all day place, not just a few hours. I think I'll be spending chunks of time there whenever I get the chance.

Very well worth dodging security, and keeping out of visible areas and active spots.

I'll give a proper post about it after I get a few more visits in.

I'm curious to know if you peeked in those containers?
I've seen containers similar to those that contained human cremains.

Actually, they're full of broken colored glass. Must've been decisive glass from the windows.

Remains would have been much cooler.

That's actually sadder than human ashes...
