Abandoned mini-golf course, MA

Recently had a chance to check out an abandoned mini-golf course in southwest MA. Shockingly, the location hasn't been completely trashed yet despite being pretty accessible. Some graffiti here and there, sure, but most of the structures in the put-put area are still intact.

They had one long driving range in addition to the put put section - the torn nets blowing in the breeze looked beautiful in a way photographs can't really capture

As you can see, most of the ponds, bridges, tunnels, and fences common to mini-golf remained more or less as they were left, though mosses have started to reclaim the greenway.

The most impressive structure here is this ~15ft high fake cavern. Pretty cool interior.

Anyone know how to rotate images in the tag? :p

And of course it can be climbed

All in all a fun, easy, low risk location. Check it out if you're nearby!

Hope you enjoyed,
-Interstital

It's always nice to find a specially nice highlight in a location like those caverns. Maybe I'm the only one, but walking around the place with that backdrop of fall scenery seems like a quite cozy, somehow nostalgic experience.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Also I really can't stress enough how incredible those nets looked - the wind was pretty high, and the way they danced in the breeze was just beautiful. Gave the entire area a pretty post-apocalyptic vibe.

Maybe if any of you guys end up going there you could get a video, none of mine really captured it.

These are very nice pics. It makes me wonder what has happened to that place. Was it not profitable, or maybe some big old factory closed down and a population living in a town close by left looking for new shelter? If I had lots of money, I would have built a mini-golf course like that to play with my family. I like to play with Srixon golf balls like the ones here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1P8aMs0oVM. The soft outer shell allows for maximum control on a green surface.
