I feel like that smell isn't a pleasant smell you would want at home. Its just going to smell like you don't clean and the whole place is gross.

Yeah, I have similar thoughts. My feral cats might like it... and the skunk prolly eat it.
Coming soon the blackhawk Black Mold scented candle, with real black mold (not soot!) in it. The blackhawk Morgue scented candle should do well too But wait, there's more... order the above two and get the mood setting blackhawk Rancid Bum Piss II candle free. They don't slice, they don't dice, but they really smell simply unimaginable. ~blackhawk Bando Wuv candles~ For those special occasions. Make memories that will reek forever in your wuved ones minds...

I don't think it was the same brand, but I bought a 'spent brass' scented candle from one of the niche candle places like that. Sounded like it was right up my alley, then it arrived. Eh gads it was awful. Smelled nothing like actual spent brass or gunpowder. With that candle I learned my lesson and will never buy another candle without smelling it first. NMPatriot (Ric)

It's an intriguing idea, but I'd have to agree with the current consensus; if I ran across one I might try it for the novelty, but I don't see a miasma of unpleasant smells attracting a large and marketable group. Makes me wonder how long it'll take til someone comes up with a study that 'proves' these candles are so dangerous that, "it would be safer to enter a derelict and decaying property without a mask" than to be exposed to one of these...😏 Well, after typing this, I'm feeling like I kinda want one, too; so long as they didn't add in the occasional smell of pee...😛

Eek. This reminds me of those "Homesick" candles that are supposed to encompass the scent of your home state. They lost me when they created a New Jersey candle - who on earth wants their house to smell like New Jersey?!?

I'm in love with the idea of this candle, just not in love with this candle.

What, did they decide "Wet Asbestos" wasn't a sufficiently marketable fragrance name?

For all the armchair explorers out there! Makes it that much more real! I'll have to get a bunch, since that's what I've been turning into recently. Haven't been able to explore for like 6 months.

That is fucking disgusting. I imagine something along the lines of the effect Kramer's "The Beach" cologne had. I did used to have a candle I bought online (I got lucky and I liked the smell) from Yank Me Candles (get it, like Yankee) that was "Pete's Feet" - it was pretty nice!

Do they have a Fresh kills Landfill Retro Candle? That would bring back memories...

I know I saw a study a while back that said using the cheap scented candles in an enclosed room for 3 hours was the same as smoking a pack of cigarettes or something like that.

That doesn't surprise me at all...the fearmongers and butthurts love their 'worst case scenario' numbers, regardless of how skewed or biased the alleged study may be. My favorite so far are the 'stand-up desk' commercials that say "sitting has become the new smoking." Anyway, I digress...I still kinda like this idea, but it seems like one of those 'awesome in theory; kind of a mess in practice' things.

I had a similar idea for a candle that would smell like drains & sewers. I would have called it "Smell of the Fresh". I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here that is mentally aroused every time he catches a whiff of good ol' sewage water.

It's probably all the same mix/scent and they just put weird labels on it.
