I thought it was time I shared. Hi ya'll. You bunch of fuckin' self-aborbed selfish lunatic dumpster diving self-agrandizing sneakin' in the shadows scary fuks!! Hello Beast UER.CA. I've been sifting the earth and I found a modern ruin or two. Behold, a crazy man's misadventures in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Long live the modern day vagabond and misanthrope that IS Urban Explorer!!📷 All Hail the next Ruin!! Be Safe. Take water. A flashlight. Be Invisible. Have fun. With my humility lacking I shall say, "thanks for takin' a look, I am honored.💓" If anyone is headed (from Atlanta or thru Atlanta) to explore Knoxville, Chattanooga, Birmingham, New Orleans or Detroit, I can help with expenses, so just let me know. I am 53 so I talk analog (old stuff) but I can respect your digital gibber jabber. Lets do this. I have to ride shotgun to prevent seasickness (puking and nausea), don't worry, I'm fearless. Question: has anyone been to Milledgeville, GA in the last couple years? I want to visit the crazy house there, I was wonderin if the security guards needed help with their pay (I know local PD pays attn). Ty.

I was out that way day before yesterday. Everywhere had zoning placards. LOL, they've even tore out the tracks from bankhead to the uhaul Bridge. Pretty soon, everything is gonna be bright and shiny and bubble packed. I'm about to be priced out of my neighborhood, and It's a bad neighborhood!!

City is changing. The church at fort Mac with the balloons painted on it, do you know what that was for? Maybe an anarchy symbol too.

Hell yeah! Nice photos.

33°42'29.6"N 84°25'51.7"W The church is in a publicly accessible area near the active credit union and behind the active VA Hospital. The church, back in the day was friendly to the children of military parents. The symbol that looks like 'anarchy' represents an African American Empowerment initiative currently associated with the old church building. The way to explore here is to show your ID at front gate and just walk around a bit like a tourist, visible but stupid. Yes Sir, No Sir, GA friendly "Hello!" should keep you safe. I'm gunna tell you now, there is nothing cool inside the buildings. They spent billions a few years ago clearing this place out. As far the central section that has the tall gate and is being renovated, they are Fort Mac, LRA, don't bother them, they are not friendly to 'you' (the explorer), and do not enter the central work area. My 2 cents, I've been 4 times and I wasn't harassed once, but you have to play it cool and not be a fool. Just remember the front guard sort of vouched for you. There is a POE, don't bother, there is no treasure to find that would justify aclandestine effort. Did I say Fort Mac LRA is to be left alone? I think I did. Peace.

Thanks man, I was really lucky to spend four years chasing ghosts. I'm ready for another city/location because street photography in Atlanta is tough!! LOL I've been thinkin' bout New Orleans, or better yet, Paris Catacombs (can you imagine??)

The good old days. I miss crusty, scabby Atlanta.

You've got some really nice pictures in there! I'm so jealous of the Georgia Dome shot. I went a few times when it was open and it was crazy!

Man, the police were stationed right by there. Contractors were coming and going and security was impossible. I wanted so bad to get shots of the seating and game signage along with the pre-demolition rubble. I tried about four times, it was a situation where you ask:"May I please...." every time a clearly defined NO. After awhile I quit asking (and trying), especially as the implosion date neared - KA-BOOM!! Thanks for the compliment on the pics. I was nearby when the Implosion happened, pretty awesome!!
