Some advice! I have quite heavy loads on my back and neck at work. And no, I do not work at the factory or in the field. I work on the computer. Most office chairs are not always comfortable, and as you understand, you can't change them often. So I give everyone advice with my problems - neck and back massage is mandatory!

I'm currently finishing my last year in undergrad but have worked in architecture offices and urban planning firms for a majority of my time in college. I recently finished an internship with a large urban planning firm where I was working on waterfront development projects.

I'm currently looking at masters programs in Architecture or Urban Design.

Ooooh that means you could be exposed to a butt-load of abandoned places I would wager

I used to work shit fast food jobs and eventually got into a super low paying screen printing gig that was happy enough if I showed up at all, so I didn't feel much problem taking huge risks. Spent lots of time jamming at open mics, eventually fell into live audio video production and now I tech direct a network morning news show, still work shows on the side, run a small recording studio, and basically just work all the time and don't get to explore hardly ever anymore. The way things are going the next couple years or so I'll probably be able to get back in the game seriously again.

I work with youth who have been through the legal system or that are in OCS custody in a residential treatment or foster care center. It's really fulfilling and has a lot of positives but it takes its tole emotionally and mentally. I got in just by applying to some place that paid better than McDonald's about 3 years ago haha.

I'm a behavior analyst. Mostly I work with aggressive clients that have lost placement in other settings (schools, therapies, whatever). I'm also a crisis management instructor; I teach and certify people (usually staff members) how to safely and harmlessly restrain someone behaving dangerously until they are calm.

Hi all, I'm an engineering intern. I work for a local town designing city infrastructure and supporting contractors in implementing them.

This fall though, I'll be starting a position with 3M as technical aide while in school.

I'm an environmental science and geology researcher (and student) so my excuse is always that I'm checking out "decomp and weathering" on old structures haha. Not looking at it for a permanent career but hoping to maybe get into mining just to try it out and see some cool stuff.

Congrats! Sounds like an ideal gig to stock up on respirator cartridges (the olive and magenta ones, for me, please) and perhaps also that sweet full-face setup you've been holding off getting!

[edit: colours, lol]

Funny you say that, as I'm currently using a 7500 series half-piece from 3M

As for a full-face, maybe it's time I stock up!

I recently changed jobs and became a Robot Wrangler.

Although in an unforeseen chain of events, the entire IT department at the new job has quit and the manager is out with coronavirus.

For now, I'm pinch-hitting running the IT department.

I think in addition to learning my way around the Oracle IDE, I have to learn how to say, "no."

I'm a journalist. Worked almost 10 years for a couple of different regional newspapers and also a news agency covering half of the country.

Changed jobs a year ago and now work for a media which specializes on the construction business. I'm surprised how supportive my colleagues have been about my hobby.
