My favorite part of urban exploring is getting to the the skyline of Atlanta. I'd though I should make a post to share some of my favorite shots and give others an opportunity to share their best shots too. Edit 1: If you have any tips to help my photography please let me know. right now I use a nikon 3400D and my cell phone. 1.

Cool pics, I love rooftops. Try using a tripod and a low shutter speed. That'll get rid of some grain and make your pictures sharper. In terms of composition and lighting you kinda have to learn that on your own, it's one of those things that you just have to figure out yourself.

Thanks for the tips! I do really need to invest in a tripod. A lot of the grain is from me taking a crappy picture on my iPhone while trying not to get caught anywhere. I'll play around with lighting and contrast too.

tripod will help with composition as well. i suggest uploading images to other sites and linking here. the uer uploader compresses the heck out of photos.

Too bad you missed the A(p)e team Mandias and of course the Westicle and Gray wolf!! oh and Peach
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah |

At the risk of sounding like a noob, I sadly don't know exactly what you're talking about. I have my guesses but maybe I'm just to young or too new to urbex.

1) ZERO tips on photography - I just like decrepit things, I am NO photographer. I'm lucky if mine are in focus (and if I even take any) 2) I've been in ATL for >30 years and I know exactly where you were in each shot. Cool little trip around the city center. I'm wondering if you too are a Wramblin' Wreck to know how to access one of those roofs......or if you have a collection of very large T's in your closet...……...hmmmmmm ?! Maybe, maybe not, but you sure do know the haunts I know.

A lot of these are from the quintessential Atlanta rooftops, some pretty iconic places that any seasoned ATLien urbexer should know. I'm not a Wramblin' Wreck but I still know how to get the roofs like I am one ;)

I really am fond of that place. I always bring water and snacks for the homeless that camp out there anytime I go back to shoot some city flicks. Believe it or not, I was there once and saw a biker gang handing out free Waffle House meals to anyone who was in need and it really warmed my heart.

Tech invited me down for a weekend to compete for a scholarship a while back. Even though I ended up going to school out in California, I can't say that I didn't indulge in such a time honored tradition while I was there ;)
