I just thought this was nice
Driving from Atlanta to Dallas 6/6 - 6/14, from Dallas to Chicago 6/14 - 6/20, from Chicago to Atlanta 6/20 - 6/29 with many stops in between. If you wanna meet up and shoot, drop me a line. |

Great textures everyone!

I just got back yesterday from my trip to KCMO; and got into a thing with these 'upshots' while driving under various bridges. I thought they made for some decent texture shots; so...whut up my bridges? 1.

8. This was inside some brick tower that was on the property of an abandoned hospital.
And a couple shots from a twice abandoned prison...open for tours until recently it was damaged by a tornado. 9.
10. Enjoy! And keep 'em coming!

This place definitely had the coolest textures I've ever seen (also home of the creepy latex photos from a few posts earlier):

Wow, I love how the sunlight shinning through looks. Is that paint?
Howdy <|;} |

I was very proud of how these turned out when I took them. But in hindsight, I think they look a bit too "high school photography project". It's awesome how colour plays in the majority of everyone's texture photos. I regret making mine b&w; I remember he rust being a neat colour.

It is paint, and judging from the rest of the place, I'd say it is definitely latex-based paint!

I actually like these a lot, but I think they would look even better if they were independent of each other and without the white background. They're excellent examples of abstract photography, IMO. They kind of remind me of cell cultures you'd look at under a microscope (hence, the abstract part, lol).
