When I lived abroad in Europe I really enjoyed traveling to the frontier and remote areas. No place was better than Transylvania. I wish I had taken more pictures; there is infinite abandoned stuff of all types to see here. I have a few pictures though, and while they certainly aren't the best of Transylvania's urbex, I hope you enjoy them. 1.

Vlad Tepes III approves.
I would love to backpack through Transylvanian one day. The images I have seen in books and TV are just stunning. Definitely jealous of anyone who has ever been...

Its very cheap there! You won't be disappointed. Ceausescu's crumbling apartments and abandoned industrial plants are even more abundant here than dracula's castles.

One of the places on my list too! Awesome pics!

Really a wild set of pictures Which country deployed those ghost tanks? Or are they something else?
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

They were at an abandoned war games site. Probably practice for the Romanian army during the communist era. They had a bunch of other facilities, but we were chased off by a pissed off guard. Some people take their job too seriously hah
