Kudzu is a vine that was introduced into the United States from Japan in order to combat soil erosion; now it is a weed that plagues the Southern United States. Here are some pictures from a small Kudzu covered barn I explored (plus some photographs of the ruins of an old abandoned house a few meters away). 1.

Hey, nice catch! This place looks like a cool place to... lurk... around...

Kudzu is a big problem up here in Wisconsin too, although I am guessing our winters slow it a bit. It grows around trees, literally choking them to death. One of my favorite trails the DNR burned out to rid it of Kudzu. In the right conditions, this stuff can grow up to A FOOT A DAY!! The notched hunks of woods in the 3rd from last pic look like they were from a figure 4 dead fall trap....

Was this on a tree farm or something? I noticed all that pine was lined up nicely in #31.
Everyone has a dark side, mines just a little more illuminated. |

Not that I know of but on the back side of the barn was a young pine forest, which had a hunting tent in the distance.

I am not sure about that. I know that spot was were an abandoned house once stood because I had visited years ago when it was still standing.
