It has been a minute since Florida has had a meet up, and I figured I'd change things up since last time because I had so many, "can't make it in time" messages and so many people missed it. "Thingy, what do you mean by change things up?" I'M GLAD YOU ASKED READER!! Instead of a definite location to explore, this event (and possible other future ones pending feedback) will primarily focus on meeting other explorers, exchanging tips and tricks, sharing our favorite ventures, and eating some damn fine burritos. This will also allow for people to not speed to the meet up point and get unwanted speeding tickets as we will be in one location. I am not saying that exploring is a definite no for this event, just that it is not the primary goal for this event. And who wouldn't want to get out from behind the keyboard, meet some strangers in the center of a state that is known as a hive of heat and humidity, and eat some burritos?
Yes I copied and pasted. It's after midnight and I'm sleepy AF.
But if you are going artsy, then you're going all the way. Someone's cutting off an ear!
The Toronto event that is posted here is a recurring event, so we don't have any control over the info, but it's been a good template for meeting and exploring. Pretty much what we do is go to the meeting spot, have a sandwich, say hi, discuss places we want to go, and plan our day from there. Not sure if that's what you had in mind for your event, but that's what we do and it works pretty well, so I thought I'd mention it.
One day I got a good camera. https://www.flickr...hotos/fleetsurbex/
I'm waiting for my D&D group to confirm our marathon game. It should be on the 22nd, so I'll probably be gucci. Ya girl is tentatively confirmed.

That is kinda what happened with the last event. We met at a diner, got some grub and then when to nearby locations, very low risk. But as we were leaving to go on the explore, I checked UER, I had a ton of PMs saying at the last minute people couldn't make it. Truthfully, in a way, I'm glad it ended up the way it did as I don't think exploring with a group of 10 in this particular tiny Florida town would work. And what has always a sorta road block for me when planning something like this; Wtf do I do when 30 people show up? There is no real planing for that.
The other ideas that I am having for this is for new people who haven't done much exploring yet that may feel like they may be holding the group up or maybe they don't think that they are ready but simply want to meet others. Also, I personally know tons of people not yet apart of the hobby that are like, "I wanna go do that too! Maybe" Also, with not currently setting it up as a monthly event, could entertain the idea of moving it to a different city for other event. Maybe Jax one month so people from Georgia could join us, Tally another month for our Bama friends. There is so much potential.

I like that idea a lot. Even in a big city like Toronto, it makes things so much easier for people when you can just meet some place down the road from them. That, and you get to hit up different things in that area, maybe see some things you wouldn't really want to go out of your way to see.

Would love to go and meet other explorers 👍

Is this one that may happen again? I'm living in the area and would love to meet with fellow explorers sometime~
Grow old, but never grow up.
I'm always down to meet people in the area. If Thingy has it in her, I'd love another meetup.
