There was a fire there recently and I heard there is a fence around it. Heard something about cameras too. A friend went recently and had no issues.

I went in September and there were a few burnt areas in some buildings, a fence that was open and a camera at the entrance. Still plenty worth a visit.

If you've never been then it doesn't hurt to see it once. This place got way too popular way too quick so its been set on fire, vandalized, stolen from, set on fire again, maybe one more time I lost count.... pd is so over it at this point so they fenced it up and as stated above there are supposedly cameras now. Ever so often patrol guys run through when they're already on the road and some of them are not nice. I know sometimes (last heard in 2017) pd will train there but I can't confirm. Be real careful about where you step on the property too because I heard about one kid almost falling through the far building on the hill........... because he didn't notice it was a roof... sigh.

for what its worth, it can be very dangerous lately - due to all the popularity. Between the risk of being arrested (high) and the risk of running across *deals*, I'd say you're better off finding an unsung treasure by just driving around.

There are APD cameras set up on a trailer you can't drive up anymore but I'm sure you can walk in out of view there's a way in the back side no new fences to my knowledge they did block the driveway on the right though but the left is clear good luck and stay safe

Can confirm, I'm the one who had to pull him out of the hole he made in the roof of the power plant. From the side we approached from you couldn't tell we were walking onto the roof and it was completely covered in ivy. That was about a decade ago. ;)
