This location is an old Cold War listening post based on the top of Devil's Mountain in the Berlin area. It's become a tourist attraction and the owners have turned it into a type of street art mecca. You can do a guided tour or you can just pay to get in and wander at will. It's just under a 2 km hike through the forest to get up to it. There were rumours of wild boars but no sightings for me! The acoustics at the top of the tallest dome were amazing. I spent a lot of time up there just listening. You could make the slightest movement and hear it amplified so loud. You had to climb several levels of stairs in the pitch dark to get up there. Maybe not the traditional sneak in urban experience but definitely a cool experience and worth a trip if you're in that area. The downside is all the people! 1.

Aye its actually run by squatters who run the place not a owner. Only place i have been where that's happened. I don't pay to get in places so never even let them know i was there. went to another place that trip same thing, this time i just did it old style and avoided the guy charging people to go in left without him knowing either

Disappointing on a few levels but explains the "cash only" I had read about holes in the fence but just went in the front door instead. ;)
