Hey all!

Just wanted to formally introduce myself, I'm Julz and I'm down in Miami.

I got my introduction to UrbEx in Australia when I was there for a year, starting with drains and then exploring old factories and other things of the sort. I've always had an interest for the industrial look...I also loooove freight trains!

Here's a low qual pic of me in a drain in Melbourne, Australia...my accident-prone self was too scared to bring my camera in with me. Glad I didn't cause I definitely slipped and fell on my butt after this photo was taken

Anyway, cool to meet y'all! And I'm always down to meet up and go 'sploring!

welcome - we have gotten quite a few new women URBEXers lately. Nice trend. I remember a few years ago when articles said there were not any women interested in URBEX and I was confused. There has always been a strong presence of the XX persuasion imho. Anyway, I babble. Welcome!

The way the media portrays urbex is really interesting. Shitty outlets like daily mail and huffpost praise explorers. Most outlets describe it as criminal, unethical and concerning.

Thanks heaps! Writing is one of my favorite things.

And thanks for the welcomes from everyone else, kidchaos and sope and gamewolf and 1foot!!

Hah yeah that was definitely a completely wrong statement on those articles' part! To date, most of the people I've gone exploring with are other rad chicks!
